St Helena restaurants have been increasing in numbers in recent years.
Today there are eating out choices available every day of the week, from regular sit-down style restaurants in St Helena to takeaways, as well as cafés and coffee shops.
The majority of St Helena food services are found in the island’s capital, Jamestown, unsurprisingly, however, there a few good options up in the cooler air of the countryside.
On the Inside St Helena App, our main menu item, ‘Bars & Restaurants’ lists a varied selection of these places to eat in St Helena, some of which are highlighted below.
Advance Booking Recommended
For visitors to St Helena, it’s worth remembering the island’s catering businesses must contend with the challenges of providing high-quality food services on demand, against the realities of low customer numbers.
With this in mind, our advice would be to plan and make reservations as far in advance as you can. In many instances, arrangements made 24 hours beforehand will be adequate, however, if you can give more notice than this, then even better.
On the Inside St Helena App there are convenient telephone and email links for contacting each of the venues.
